AMMAN, Jordan — Jordan welcomed 257 Canadian travel experts for the 10th annual Travel Agent Next Door (TTAND) conference from June 3 to 10, aimed at bolstering tourism and economic stability.

Organized by the Jordan Tourism Board North America (JTBNA) in partnership with TTAND and G Adventures, this event underscored Jordan’s resilience as a safe and enticing destination for travellers. The conference was held in multiple locations, including Dead Sea Jordan, Petra and Aqaba. It’s also the first time the conference was held outside of North America.

The event, a culmination of a three-year campaign, exemplified the collaboration between JTBNA, TTAND, G Adventures and Royal Jordanian Airlines. This year’s conference sold out in a record 47 seconds and saw the participation of 223 Canadian travel agents, 34 tour operators, TTAND staff and Canadian media representatives.

“We’re honoured to host TTAND in Jordan. We’re excited to show all the TTAND attendees what Jordan has to offer their clients, and introduce them to exceptional Bedouin hospitality,” said Malia Asfour, managing director of JTBNA. “The Canadian market has been a consistent and resilient revenue-generating market for Jordan, and we look forward to welcoming more Canadians as a result.”

“Jordan’s rich cultural tapestry and breathtaking landscapes continue to captivate our travellers year-after-year,” said David Green, VP Sales and Customer Operations & managing director Canada, G Adventures. “We’re proud to collaborate with JTBNA and TTAND in promoting sustainable tourism and showcasing Jordan’s treasures to Canadian travellers.”
