VANCOUVER — The Trump Hotel Vancouver has permanently closed.
Malaysian-based TA Global Berhad owns the property and paid for the license rights for the Trump brand through its subsidiaries, West Georgia Holdings and Holborn Group. And, coinciding with the closure, TA Global’s subsidiary, TA Hotel Management Ltd., which managed the hotel, filed for bankruptcy on August 26.
The 147-room hotel originally opened on Georgia Street in downtown Vancouver in 2017. CTV News reports it had initially shut down due to COVID-19 on April 4.
